From Auckland (or even Wellington), Warkworth, Wellsford, Whangarei, or Kawakawa, follow Highway 1 north toward (but not all the way to) Kaitaia and Cape Reinga. After you pass through Moerewa and climb up Turntable Hill, you will come to a junction with the beginning of Highway 10. [This junction is in the tiny community of Pakaraka, but you might not notice that. If you pass the Pakaraka Hall, you have gone too far.] Turn right (the only way you can turn) onto Highway 10 and proceed north about 20 kilometres. Pass the junction for Paihia (called Puketona Junction, but that might not be obvious) and carry on up Bull's Gorge to and on through the Kerikeri roundabout (do not turn at the roundabout -- go straight through). After about another 6 km, you will reach the small village of Waipapa.

At the new Waipapa roundabout, turn left. That road is a short (one block) loop that returns to the highway, and the hall is within the loop as the road doubles back on itself.

from Kaitaia and the Aupouri Peninsula

From Kaitaia, follow Highway 1 south over the Mangamukas, over the four hills, up the Waihou Valley, and up the long hill to Okaihau.

At the top of the hill, immediately after you pass Okaihau, turn left onto Waiare Road (your first opportunity to turn left after you climb the hill). Continue about 20 kilometres to State Highway 10, passing the Okaihau Golf Club and the Kerikeri Airport. [By the golf course, Waiare Rd. turns left, but you carry on straight ahead onto Wiroa Rd.] When you reach State Highway 10, turn left and go about 6 km, you will reach the small village of Waipapa.

At the new Waipapa roundabout, turn left. That road is a short (one block) loop that returns to the highway, and the hall is within the loop as the road doubles back on itself.
